Testing Mamut soft Pastels

Visiting an Old Master, Madrid
Few days ago I had the chance to visit and meet an old color master. Maybe the last Handmade Oil Paint color artisan in Spain. Since it came to my ears that there was still an artisan manufacturer of oils in Spain, I had no doubt that I wanted to meet him!
Orthodox Easter colors
At home we love celebrations! And we celebrate both Easters, but I particularly love the orthodox one… We take our time to choose the white eggs, (Which are difficult to find lately!) to paint and decor them, and then we make some egg fights!
A new life
In soft pastels, as in so many other aspects in life, sometimes things may not go as planned. Lots of things can go wrong… Maybe the texture, maybe the thikness is not enough, or the pigment had problems….Or maybe I forgot to add that ingredient in the formula (?)
Shades of Grey
Carl Jung, the father of deep psychology, used to say that everything that can be named is because we know its opposite. We know for sure that the opposite of Black is white but…What would be the oposite of grey? There is no opposite of grey as there is no opposite of pink. Grey is what it is called achromatic neutral
